Looking for more activities to add to your college applications? Do you have academic strengths in a core subject, specifically math or science? The Tanner Tutor program is looking for more tutors! Training will take place after school on Wednesday, February 5th in the far end of LOWER caf from 2:00-2:45 and is mandatory for all students who wish to become a Tanner Tutor for semester 2. Former tutors must attend, as well. See Ms. Owen in Guidance with any questions.
The Malcolm White Lunch Mentor Program is looking for volunteers who have a study or open campus during periods 5, 6 or 7 to join our club. Get off campus for a period, mentor elementary aged students, and have some fun! You will earn community service hours and will make a great impact on the Woburn community. Mandatory training will take place on Tuesday, February 11 from 2-2:30 in the far end of the lower cafeteria. See Ms. Owen in Guidance with any questions.
If you are a student that needs help applying for Middlesex Community College or has questions about the college/career process in general, Guidance Intern Mr. Scott will be available in a library study room on Monday February 3rd and Thursday February 6th to help with that process and answer any questions.
Middlesex Community College is offering a Pathway To Success Day on April 1,2020.
This event is for any senior who may be interested in MCC for the Fall. Lunch and transportation is provided and you even get a swag bag!
The hope is that students will spend the day at MCC hearing from current students, alumni, staff and faculty. They will have break out sessions including Advising, Tutoring and Support Services, Student Engagement and Financial Aid just to name a few.
If you are interested please email Mrs. Donovan at firstname.lastname@example.org. There is a max of 22 students and 2 chaperones per school so it is on a first come first serve basis.
